Fire Fighter Death Benefits
Recently there have been some newspaper articles regarding
firefighter death benefits. It is specific
to certain medical conditions. If you have any questions in regard to this

the meantime we received
the following communication from ret Deputy Chief Wyatt.
Hi Fellow Firefighters:
I attend the Rhode Island State Firemen's League and Don Brown usually
reports at every meeting what transpires at the Firemen's Relief Board. I
watch for members from Warwick and Narragansett to be sure that the family
is aware. Many times, the death certificate does not have a cause of death
that qualifies. Other times there just in-action on the part of the
family. It is a good program, and I hope that the financial woes of the
State do not cause its funding to be reduced.
